Privacy policy

This policy covers InfiQuant backup (rclone), a private backup utility operated by Hardik Desai. It describes the utility, not unrelated InfiQuant products or websites.

Data accessed and purpose

The utility uses Google OAuth credentials to access the owner's Google Drive for backup and restore operations. It may process account identity, storage quota, file and folder identifiers, names, sizes, timestamps, checksums and the contents of files selected for backup or restore. The configured Drive scope grants broad access; that permission is used for owner-directed backup management, not to operate a public service.

Storage and security

OAuth credentials are stored in access-restricted configuration on owner-controlled devices. Google Drive stores uploaded backup files. The configured crypt remotes encrypt backup contents and filenames before upload; this does not encrypt every item in the owner's Drive or conceal all storage metadata. Local manifests and operational logs may record paths, sizes, hashes and transfer outcomes. These remain on owner-controlled devices unless separately included in a backup.

Use and sharing

Google user data accessed by this utility is used for backup, restore, integrity checking and related troubleshooting. It is not sold, used for advertising or provided to train general-purpose AI models. Google processes data under its own policies as the storage and authorization provider. The operator may use authorized administrative tools for maintenance; those tools are separate from this OAuth client.

Retention and control

Backups are retained until the owner removes them under a chosen retention plan. Revoking Google access stops future authorized operations but does not automatically delete existing backups or local copies. The owner can revoke the app through Google Account third-party access settings and separately remove its stored credentials and backup files. Operational records may be retained for recovery and audit.

This public website

This site has no sign-in, upload form, Google Drive integration or application analytics scripts. Its hosting provider may process ordinary request information, such as IP address and browser headers, to serve and secure these pages. The website cannot access the backup account.
